About us

Our practice has gone from strength to strength, growing considerably since partners Anil Baboolal and Julie Owen bought it in September 1992. We relocated to the present building in the spring of 1997 and now offer three individual surgeries providing all aspects of modern dentistry, a superb hygiene service and established and highly regarded visiting oral surgeon.
At the High Street Dental Practice we provide high quality, affordable dental care for the whole family in a welcoming environment.

  • we show commitment to your dental wellbeing and perfect smile. We provide time to discuss your dental problems and cosmetic requests, and we try to offer solutions that fulfil them in a cost-effective way
  • we maintain strict cross infection controls because your safety is our primary concern
  • our policy is to provide patients with treatment options and printed estimates that allow them to assess the benefits against the associated costs
  • we strive to keep to time because we know that everyone hates to be kept waiting

Our Dentists

Our three highly skilled dentists provide excellent dental care and their thorough yet gentle approach immediately puts patients of all ages at ease. They are passionate about the work they do and keep abreast of the changes in modern dentistry by continuing their dental education. Their breadth of experience means they can advise on, or provide solutions for, patients’ restorative needs and cosmetic desires.

The team

The Front of House Team

Practice Manager Julie Tedd, who is also a qualified nurse, ensures the smooth running of our practice. She leads a team of two receptionists, Jo Snell and Nicky Coles, who are well-known faces at the practice and deal with patients efficiently, professionally and with a smile.

The Hygienist

Keeping your mouth thoroughly clean and your gums healthy is of utmost importance to our hygienist, Kim. After a session with them your mouth will have never felt so clean. She will remove every last particle of bacterial plaque that builds up between visits, ridding you of the plaque that contributes to decay, gum disease and bad breath. She will also teach you how to improve your oral health routine at home and show you how to use the right interdental products.

The Nursing Team

We have five fully qualified and experienced dental nurses: head nurse Jo Snell, Practice Manager Julie Tedd and Jade Walker. Our newest nurses Izzy Brampton and Katy Bower have both qualified this year. We are all focused on providing the best nursing care and making patients feel relaxed and welcome.
